Speaker cabinet CNC machining capabilities

Speaker baffles, driver openings and ports need accurate dimensions and clean edges. CNC routing delivers repeatable precision that hand tools cannot match.

Speaker hole cutting

Accurate round openings for woofers, midranges, tweeters and subwoofer drivers.

Port and vent machining

Rectangular and square openings for bass reflex ports and ventilation.

Internal bracing

Plain and cutout ribs in 1/2 or 3/4 inch to stiffen tall towers and large panels.

Clean edges and tight joints

CNC accuracy means panels fit square, so assembly is faster and seams are tighter.

Birch plywood: a better speaker cabinet material

Raw 3/4 inch birch plywood is rigid, strong and has a tight, void-free core, which helps control cabinet resonance. It machines cleanly, glues well and finishes beautifully with stain, paint, oil or veneer, so it suits both hi-fi cabinets and rugged pro audio builds.

Speaker enclosure questions

What material are the custom speaker enclosures made from?

Enclosures are CNC cut from 3/4 inch raw birch plywood, a dense, stable, void-free panel that is a favourite for speaker cabinets and takes stain, paint or veneer well.

How tall can a tower speaker enclosure be?

Tower enclosures can be built up to 72 inches tall. You choose the exact width, depth and height in the 3D builder and the price updates instantly.

How much does a custom speaker enclosure cost?

Pricing starts at $225 for a 12 by 18 by 12 inch enclosure and adds $50 for each additional 10 inches of height. Cutouts and internal ribs are priced separately and shown before you order.

What cutout shapes are available?

You can add round, square, rectangular and triangular cutouts on the front, back or either side, and position each one visually in the 3D preview or by exact measurements.

Can you cut speaker baffles, driver holes and port openings?

Yes. Round driver openings, rectangular and square port or vent cutouts and triangular openings are CNC machined to your measurements, so drivers and ports fit cleanly.

What are internal ribs and internal cutout ribs?

Internal ribs are braces that stiffen the cabinet and reduce panel resonance. Internal cutout ribs are braces with a round opening so air and wiring can pass through. Both are available in 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch material.

Do I get a finished, assembled speaker cabinet?

You receive precision CNC cut birch parts sized to your design, ready for you to glue, assemble, sand and finish with stain, paint or veneer.

Do you ship speaker enclosures to the USA and Canada?

Yes. Enclosures are CNC cut to size and shipped across the USA and Canada, or available for pickup.

Is this suitable for subwoofer boxes and studio or hi-fi speakers?

Yes. Builders use the same tool for tower speakers, bookshelf cabinets, subwoofer boxes, studio monitors and custom hi-fi projects. Tell us about larger or repeat runs through the quote form.
