CNC Cut to Size fabricates custom gun rooms, armory cabinetry, rifle racks, handgun drawer inserts, lighted firearm display cases, and retail gun shop merchandising fixtures. Work is CNC-machined to customer dimensions and shipped flat-pack or assembled to all 50 United States and every Canadian province from operations in Woodbridge, Ontario and Anthem, Arizona. Fitted cabinetry provides organization, access, and display, and is designed to work alongside a rated gun safe or vault door rather than replace one.
- What is a gun room?
- A gun room is a dedicated, purpose-built space for storing, organizing, and displaying a firearms collection. Instead of stacking long guns in a single safe, a gun room uses fitted cabinetry, rifle racks, handgun drawers, ammunition shelving, display cases, and a cleaning bench so every item has a secure, visible, correctly sized home. Gun rooms range from a full walk-in armory to a single reach-in wall system in a closet.
- How much does a custom gun room cost?
- Cost depends on the size of the space, the material selection, the number of long-gun and handgun positions, glass and lighting, and whether you order flat-pack components or fully assembled millwork. A single reach-in armory wall is a fraction of a full walk-in room with display cases and a cleaning bench. Send your dimensions and collection size through the form on this page and we will price the exact configuration.
- Can I build a gun room myself from CNC-cut parts?
- Yes. This is one of the most popular options for hobbyists. We CNC-cut every panel, rack, cradle, and drawer component to size, apply edge banding, bore hardware holes, and ship the project flat-packed and labeled with an assembly layout. You supply the assembly time and basic tools; the precision machining is already done.
- Is a gun room cabinet the same as a gun safe?
- No. Custom gun room cabinetry provides organization, display, and controlled access — it is not a fire-rated or burglary-rated container. Most of our clients pair fitted cabinetry with a rated safe or vault door, and we frequently build surrounds, flanking towers, and vault-room millwork around an existing safe so the room reads as one finished space.
- What wood is best for a gun room?
- Walnut, oak, cherry, hickory, and maple veneer panels deliver the traditional, warm gun-room look. Void-free furniture-grade plywood is the workhorse for load-bearing racks and boxes because it holds fasteners and stays flat under weight. Paint-grade MDF gives the crispest routed profiles and shadow-box detail. For retail fixtures and utility walls, melamine and TFL are the most durable and easiest to wipe clean.
- How do you keep humidity from damaging firearms in a gun room?
- We machine ventilation grille cutouts and rear air channels into the cabinetry so dehumidifier rods, desiccant, and room climate control can circulate air behind and beneath the storage instead of trapping moisture against blued steel and stocks. Selecting dimensionally stable panel materials also limits seasonal movement.
- Do you ship gun room components across the United States and Canada?
- Yes. We fabricate from our Ontario, Canada operation and our Phoenix and Anthem, Arizona service area, and ship flat-pack gun room and armory components across all 50 US states and every Canadian province. Flat-pack shipping also solves tight stairwells, basements, and narrow doorways that finished cabinets cannot pass through.
- Do you build gun displays for retail stores?
- Yes. We manufacture retail merchandising walls, lockable handgun showcase counters, slatwall-integrated rifle displays, ammunition gondolas, and back-bar fixtures for gun shops, indoor ranges, sporting goods stores, and outfitters — including repeatable packages for multi-location rollouts.
- Can you design a gun room if I do not have plans or CAD files?
- Yes. Send photos, rough measurements, or a hand sketch. Our in-house design engineering team produces the layout and shop drawings, confirms rack spacing against your actual collection, and returns drawings for your approval before any material is cut.
- Can a gun room be concealed or hidden?
- Yes. We regularly cut components for concealed armory storage — bookcase doors, mirrored panels, false-back cabinetry, and under-stair compartments — machined to your exact opening and to the specific concealed-door hardware you plan to use.
